The school’s Tuckshop is the responsibility of the Hambledon State School P&C Association with all profits used to fund the goals and objectives of the P&C for the improvement of the school and students.

Our Tuckshop operates 5 days a week and is managed by our convenor Alana Donnelly, assisted by Alysia Fletcher and run with the help of volunteers.

Our Tuckshop provides students with a wide range of healthy and delicious food and drink and conforms to the Queensland Government’s Smart Choices - Healthy Food and DrinkSupply Strategy for Queensland Schools.

Payment methods include cash and EFTPOS.

Menu

Please click on the menu to the right to see our full menu.

Our lunches are made as per bag orders as this ensures no wastage at our Tuckshop (refer ordering below).  Over the counter ordering is possible from 8:00am until 9:30am – all lunch orders must be placed by 9:30am at the latest.

Tuckshop opens for over the counter snack sales from 11:00am – 11:40am.  It then reopens from 1:40pm - 2:00pm for over the couner snack sales.

For the term special, please see the newsletter.

Prep students are able to have snacks and ice blocks sent in their lunch orders as they are unable to visit the Tuckshop.  Please do not order slushies for Preps as they are unsuitable to be carried in the baskets.

Ordering

  • Ordering is completed through the traditional paper bag method.
  • On the paper bag please write students name, class and food/drink item(s).
  • Place your money in the bag and put in the Tuckshop basket in your child’s classroom (only available for Prep – Year 2) or alternatively see us at the Tuckshop to place your order.

Volunteering

For our school to have a successful Tuckshop, it is necessary we have the support of parents volunteering their time. Stopping by for just 20 minutes before you start your day or before/after your child’s reading to unpack groceries or prepare orders is a huge help. Volunteering can be done on a regular basis or sporadic when you have free time. Volunteering in the Tuckshop is a great way to be involved in your child’s school and meet others in the school community. So stop by if you want to offer some of your time and see Alana.
