Prep is the first year of school and provides the foundation for your child's education. It is compulsory for Queensland children to undertake Prep prior to Year 1. Prep is a full-time program in primary schools and has a defined curriculum. Children attend Hambledon State School Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm.
When can I enrol my child?
Children must be 5 by 30 June in the year they enrol. View the Department's Prep Ready Reckoner Calculator to see when your child can start Prep.
Hambledon State School starts accepting Prep enrolments in April of the year before the child is due to start Prep.
Birth Certificate
A birth certificate must be sighted by our office staff for all students enrolling into Prep, Year 1 or Year 2.
